The Tactile Systems Group was founded in 1990 as a consortium of technical specialists, focused in factory automation and CNC machine tool design.
Since that time we have developed automation systems for semi-conductor applications, stand-alone process equipment and a variety of custom tools from the basic to complex.
Tactile Systems has collaborated with other automation companies to link multiple machine tools and automation equipment, combining different controllers and network protocols together to create seamless and reliable operation.
We have designed systems around controllers from GE-Fanuc, Allen-Bradley, Parker, Danaher, Yaskawa, Red Lion and others.
We utilize networking protocols over serial RS232/485, twisted pair (Profibus, CanOpen) or ethernet (TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, ModBus, SynqNet).
Our software expertise ranges from PLC ladder and structured text (IEC-61131) to Visual Basic, Visual C, C++ and C#.
